When my daughter was born, I started taking photographs of her and realized how much I loved it. I couldn't help but absorb as much information as possible learning how to take the best possible photographs of her. Next thing I knew, people were asking me to photograph their weddings... probably not an area I would recommend starting with. lol. My business blossomed from weddings to sports and to high school seniors. After years of photographing as a side job, I quit my budget analysis job to do photography full time. Quite the leap of faith! In 2010, I made a big move to my current country Northfield studio where I spend much of my free time designing, creating, and upkeeping my sets and landscaping. My favorite though, is meeting so many different people and I love taking photographs of them all! Mostly, I enjoy helping people feel good about themselves and having a good time during the process!

I have a two-acre outdoor studio with everything from urban to country just outside of Northfield, MN off of I35. My indoor studio has well over 300 backgrounds and props to customize your unique style. I am continuously updating my studio look with the latest in trends. Because of my incredible studio I've been blessed with, 95% of my sessions are right at my studio.

I just love world travel, nature & animals, constructing & landscaping my outdoor studio, and studying and learning something new every day whether it's natural home remedies, interesting unique discoveries, exploring various places around the world, ancient civilizations & texts, and much more.

Alyssa, Imagery Specialist
​
After helping me with sports photography as a child, Alyssa has now officially joined the Picture This team as an Imagery Specialist in 2025. She works with all our our sports and activities design, editing, and processing. She also works with our website design and social media presence.
​
Alyssa has an advanced education in business management and will eventually become a majority partner to carry on the business for a multi-generational company. Her desire is for the business to grow so that more schools and teams can experience this amazing sports program that her mom has built for decades.
​
On a personal note, Alyssa is also a certified Holistic Nutritionist, and loves to talk about healthy food choices, if you ever care to engage her in that conversation. She has both an amazing man in her life, Karl, and their dog Logan. She also enjoys yard work, cooking, fitness, and just relaxing in nature.
​
And, her and I have traveled around the world together since our very first trip when she was just 13 years old. It quickly became a passion for her as well.

Jason, Sports Photographer

Jason's passion photography started in high school when he picked up a camera and began shooting sports for his local high school. That early interest turned into a career in 1994 after completing a photography program at DCTC. From there, he launched into weddings, business portraits, high school seniors, and family portraits, becoming a successful 30+ photography business. ​Today, you'll find him photographing lots of business corporate assignments and headshots, in addition to his continued portrait photography business.
​
When not behind the camera, you'll find him relaxing with a good movie, fishing up north, and spending time with family.
​
Jason's technical expertise and precision are huge assets for our program. You'll often see him and his son photographing sports teams in the area. There's never a dull moment with this duo. They both have a great sense of humor and make your experience enjoyable.

Steve, Client Experience Assistant

Steve comes to Picture This with an extensive education and background in marketing and design as well as various other skills in marketing and communications management, customer service, design, and shipping.
​
Steve not only helps with check-in at many of the sports picture days, but he assists with email management, social media, and the back-end finalization of photo galleries. He's a great asset to the team.
​​
On a personal note, Steve's passion is visiting the National and State Parks of the US. When he's not working, you'll find him enjoying nature, watching all of his favorite sport teams, playing drums, and fishing.
